The ERFSC serves
all of Ward 7. This includes all of zip code 20019 and parts of 20020.

2) Who do we
Serve?
ERFSC serves
families and children in Ward 7 who are at risk of child maltreatment;
primarily families referred by the Child and Family Services Agency. We
also work with a number of self referrals from the community; however,
all households must have children to access our services. To reach as
many residents as possible who are in crisis situations, ERFSC works closely
with the Potomac Region DCHA so that services are more accessible to public
housing residents
3) What services
do ERFSC provide?
ERFSC provides
services that either directly or indirectly enhance family functioning
in the Ward 7 community. These services include but are not limited to:
case management, parenting empowerment, adolescent services, crisis intervention,
housing assistance, fatherhood support, youth activities, community engagement,
capacity building and technical assistance, Adoption Resource Outreach.
4) How may
a family receive services from ERFSC?
By calling
our intake office at (202) 397-7300 ext. 107, potential applicants will
be able to schedule an appointment with our Intake Specialist. Our office
hours are from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. You should feel
free to drop in but generally appointments are preferred as the Intake
Specialist may be meeting with another client if you come in without an
appointment.
5) What does
ERFSC charge for its services?
All of our
services are free to our clients.
6) How is ERFSC
funded?
Our primary
source of funding is from the District's Child and Family Services Agency.
We do have funding from the Community Partnership for the Prevention of
the Homeless, the Department of Human Services and several foundations.
7) How may
I help East River Family Strengthening Collaborative?
You can feel
free to make a charitable contribution towards the support of families
and children in Ward 7 or you may choose to become a member of the collaborative.
